Kite surfer stranded on sandbar overnight

A kite surfer has spent the night stranded on a sandbar south of Perth.
There were fears for the 37-year-old man's safety after he failed to return from waters near Wannanup on Sunday evening, but at first light on Monday, he made his way back to shore.
He advised police that his kite had deflated, forcing him to drift for some time, then seek refuge on the sandbar.
