Highway reopened in fire ravaged WA

A major highway in Western Australia's fire-ravaged South West region has been reopened.

The Forrest Highway, linking the coastal towns of Mandurah and Bunbury, reopened on Tuesday morning as fire services work to bring the deadly bushfire under control.

Several other arterial roads, including Old Coast Road and the South Western Highway, remain closed.

Milder conditions overnight assisted firefighters in containing the bushfire, which has killed two men and burnt more than 71,000 hectares of land.
