Gun-wielding robber forced victim to strip

A robber who ordered a victim to strip at gunpoint when a drug deal went wrong has been sentenced to more than four years behind bars.

The victim and his friend were set upon by several men in December last year after they arrived at a house in Perth's southern suburbs.

After both men were told to hand over their belongings, Brandon Colquhoun pointed a loaded shotgun at the victim's kneecap and ordered him to drop his underwear.

Another co-accused threatened the victim with an axe.

Both men were taken outside where Colquhoun, 20, fired the shotgun into the air.

The pair were driven a short distance away in the car they had arrived in, before being let out.

Colquhoun threatened the men that if they went to the police, he would find them.

Police later attended the house, where they found Colquhoun hiding under a bush.

In handing down his sentence last week, Supreme Court Justice Robert Mitchell said Colquhoun had shown genuine remorse for his actions and entered an early guilty plea to the charges, which included aggravated armed robbery.

Justice Mitchell sentenced Colquhoun to four years and six months jail.

He will be eligible for parole in 2016.
