'Free range' egg farm misled: court

A Perth-based egg producer misled shoppers over its "free range" hens, the Federal Court of Australia has found.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission brought the action against Snowdale Holdings, which has farms in Carabooda and the Swan Valley.

Penalties and orders against the company will be made at a date to be set.
