Fracking set to be WA election issue
AAP
The Conservation Council of Western Australia has launched a new anti-fracking campaign for next year's state election, but the premier has dismissed its concerns.
The Frack Free Future campaign was announced at a conference on Sunday involving farmers, traditional owners and conservation groups.
But Premier Colin Barnett said fracking had been carefully managed in WA for 50 years and there was no threat to groundwater or any other aspects of the environment.
