Four-week-old baby dies in WA car crash

A four-week-old baby boy has died in a tragic car crash at Worsley in Western Australia’s south-west.

Police believe a white Nissan Patrol left River Road, careering down an embankment and striking a tree at around 7.45pm last night.

The baby boy and his 24-year-old mother were passengers in the vehicle.

Both were taken to Bunbury Regional Hospital however the boy died as a result of his injuries.

The mother received only minor injuries.

The 31-year-old female driver also received minor injuries but was not taken to hospital.

Major Crash Investigators are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
