Four rescued from sunken boat off WA coast

Four people have been rescued about 30km off Garden Island in Western Australia after their boat sank.

Recreational fisherman pulled the people from the water about 6.50am on Tuesday after receiving a mayday call and seeing a flare.

Three of the rescued people are in their 20s while the fourth is believed to be in their 50s.

One person received medical treatment for a cut to their head.
