A former West Australian policeman has admitted unlawfully accessing a police computer and possessing an obscene image.

Adrian Trevor Moore, 48, pleaded guilty to four charges when he appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Friday and will face court again on November 23.

The former senior constable is yet to plead to one charge of stealing as a public servant and 177 other counts of unlawful use of a computer.

Police allege those 177 computer offences happened over 12 years from 2006 to this year.

Moore was stood down from duty in March and quit in May.

He was charged following a joint investigation by the police internal affairs unit and the Corruption and Crime Commission.
