A monsoon is expected to bring heavy rain to the north and west Kimberley over the next three to four days.
A flood watch has been issued for the area.
Rain for the 24 hours to 9am Friday in the Kimberley included 162mm at Emma Gorge.
For the 24 hours to 9am Saturday, widespread rain of 40-80mm with isolated heavier falls of 150mm is forecast for the north Kimberley.
Rain is likely to extend to the west Kimberley during Saturday and Sunday.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services advises communities to be aware that flooding is possible and they should be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock.
Travellers are also warned that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered.
Drivers are reminded not to drive into water of unknown depth and velocity.
