Flares cause fire at WA house

A house has caught fire after flares were set off in Western Australia's Great Southern region.

Police say a stray flare crashed into the tiled roof of an unoccupied house in Albany just before 10pm on Wednesday.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in the roof space.
