Fire ban for Perth and Great Southern

A total fire ban has been issued for large parts of Perth and the Great Southern region.

The ban for Sunday means no fires, including those for cooking or camping, can be lit.

Hot work such as metal work, grinding, welding, soldering or gas cutting is not allowed unless you have an exemption.

Perth is forecast to reach 34C on Sunday with severe fire danger rating for the Perth Hills.

The Great Southern is forecast for a hot and sunny day with temperatures reaching 40C and a severe fire danger rating issued.
