Elderly WA woman charged for serious crash

An 85-year-old woman has been charged over a car crash in Western Australia's south that left a female pedestrian with life-threatening injuries.
Police allege the elderly woman struck the 63-year-old on a footpath outside the Dog Rock Shopping Centre in Albany on June 3.
She has been charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and no authority to drive, and will appear in Albany Magistrates Court on July 30.
