Education guarantees from WA Liberals

All four-year-old children in Western Australia will have a guaranteed place at their local public kindergarten from 2018 if the Liberal party is re-elected at the March state election.

The commitments also include before and after school care facilities at all public primary schools, and five additional child and parents centres to provide free health, education and parenting support to vulnerable families.

But Labor leader Mark McGowan labelled the premier "Copycat Colin", saying the opposition's EduCare proposal had been announced more than a year ago.

Under Labor's plan, a child care facility will be built on all new primary schools and may also be added to existing primary schools where required.
