Drug-free WA prisoners to be rewarded

Prisoners in Western Australia can gain extra privileges if they prove they've stayed off drugs.

Corrective Services Commissioner James McMahon said those who don't take the drugs that make their way into jails will be supported after release "in a more meaningful way" than usual under a volunteer program.

"If you perform, you get rewarded," Mr McMahon told ABC radio on Tuesday.
