Dreams come true for two young West Australian cricketers

Two young West Australian cricketers will get the chance to live their dream when they represent Australia at the ICC Intellectual Disability Sport Tour to England.

Boyd Duffield, 23, and Anthony Kalimeris, 17, are learning impaired athletes.

They have a lifelong love of the game and both play locally; Anthony at Coolbinia, in western Perth, and Boyd at Leederville in Mount Hawthorn.

The young men visited the grounds of Perth's Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) to receive their playing caps from Perth Scorchers coach and WA Test great, Justin Langer.

But what happened next surprised everyone.

Langer called down two of the Perth Scorchers' biggest stars, Michael Klinger and AJ Tye.

The pair congratulated the youngsters and wished them all the best for the tour that will see them take on England and South Africa in a series of 40 and 20 over matches.

Langer spent an hour coaching the boys on the finer points of batting and bowling, giving them a full tour of the WACA gym and training facilities and even taking the young men through a boxing session.

It was an amazing gesture from 'JL' that had the young mens' parents amazed at his generosity.

The young men fly out on Tuesday.
