WHERE THE LEADERS CAMPAIGNED

* Deputy premier Liza Harvey faced the media on the boundary of Nedlands and Churchlands, strongly Liberal-held seats by 19.1 per cent and 20 per cent margins respectively.

* Premier Colin Barnett had a quieter day, announcing some funding for inner city sporting clubs and recording an interview with Sky News.

* Opposition Leader Mark McGowan was in the Perth CBD to speak about one of Labor's biggest policies, its Metronet rail plan.

* Liberals outlined more of their plan to tackle WA's serious problem with meth addiction, including $94m for drug rehabilitation and $8m for meth education, and also committed $750,000 to upgrade Perth sporting clubs

* Labor detailed their main project Metronet, a $2.54b transport plan, and how it would be funded

* Treasurer Mike Nahan said Labor's Metronet funding sources were fake, Labor labelled his response as fake news, a phrase increasingly being used in politics around the world.

* Liza Harvey sold copies of Big Issue outside Perth Underground train station
