WHERE THE LEADERS CAMPAIGNED

* Premier Colin Barnett was in the seat of Morley, Liberal-held by 4.7 per cent

* WA Labor leader Mark McGowan was in Nedlands, held by the Liberals by 19.1 per cent

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY

* The Liberals announced a stamp duty concession of up to $15,000 for seniors in a bid to encourage them to downsize their homes

* Mr Barnett urged the federal government to pick a figure for the proposed GST floor, saying he would agree to 70 cents in the dollar

* Labor want to use interest from WA's Future Fund to establish a medical research fund, cancer research strategy and innovation centre at Royal Perth Hospital, and vowed to not hike or introduce new taxes

* The Greens launched a drug harm reduction policy, including decriminalising possession for personal use, directing users towards health care and pill testing at music festivals
