Dad gets judge-alone trial for burning kid

A Perth father accused of setting his daughter on fire has been granted a judge-alone trial.
Edward John Herbert allegedly set alight the three-year-old and also doused her seven-year-old sister in petrol at the family's Doubleview home in August.
He will face a three-day trial in the WA Supreme Court starting on Monday.
