Court allows ex-AFL star Daniel Kerr to attend two weddings

Retired West Coast Eagles footballer Daniel Kerr has had his bail conditions altered so he can attend two weddings, while he waits for a court to deal with his violence charges.

Kerr was arrested on November 11 and charged with two counts of endangering the life, health or safety of a person after a violent incident at a Glendalough home.

The Perth Magistrates Court today heard Kerr wanted to attend a wedding in Midland in December and another wedding in Dunsborough, in WA's South West region, in January.

The magistrate agreed to waive Kerr's curfew so he could attend both events and allow him to stay at a different address than that stated in his bail conditions for the wedding in Dunsborough.

The two-time Brownlow Medal runner-up spent four nights at Hakea Prison this month after his parents refused to sign off on a $5000 surety to release him on bail.

After his release, Kerr told Seven News it was the "kick in the butt" he needed to turn his life around.

But the premiership player also conceded he could still face jail time over the incident.

Kerr is due back in court on January 19.
