'Suspicious': Children approached by car near popular WA tourist spot

Police are calling for information after two children were approached by a car near a popular tourist spot in Western Australia.

The children, aged 10 and 11, were walking along Cherry Well Road, near Downes Street, in Pink Lake west of Esperance about 3.30pm on Monday.

A car, believed to be a dark or black four-door vehicle, approached the pair.

Police said there was a man and a woman inside the car and the woman tried to have a conversation with the children before driving away.

Investigators have labelled the approach "suspicious" and are asking for information.

Anyone with information or who has CCTV or dash-cam vision filmed in the Cherry Well Road and surrounding area between 3pm and 4pm, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
