WA bushfire warning downgraded
AAP
The immediate danger from a bushfire in Western Australia's Great Southern region has passed but the fire remains out of control.
The fire in the Owingup Nature Reserve, 25km southwest of the town of Denmark, is no longer threatening homes or lives, the WA Department of Parks and Wildlife says.
However, there is a lot of smoke in the area and residents are warned to keep up to date and remain alert in case the situation changes.

Aerial support had been called in to assist ground crews fighting the blaze, which was reported at 2.40pm on Tuesday.
