Bushfire in WA's Pilbara downgraded
AAP
The alert level for a bushfire that was threatening lives and homes around a roadhouse in Western Australia's Pilbara region has been downgraded thanks to rainfall.
The lightning-sparked blaze near the Narutarra Roadhouse in the Shire of Ashburton was declared an emergency on Wednesday afternoon but was swiftly reduced to an advice alert.
The fire is moving slowly in variable directions due to the wind, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services says.
