Building fire in Perth's south contained

A fire at a workshop near Rous Head Harbour in North Fremantle has been brought under control.

The incident was reported shortly before 2pm on Monday.

It is not known what sparked the blaze, which also set a boat inside the building on fire.

About 60 firefighters remain on the scene.

People in the area are urged to remain inside, away from smoke and fumes.
