Diners hit with capsicum spray at Perth restaurant Brika
A woman has been charged after diners at a Perth restaurant were sprayed with capsicum spray yesterday.
About 80 people were eating at Brika on Stirling Street when the incident happened around 9.30pm.
Police say the 39-year-old woman walked through the restaurant's alfresco area and sprayed a can of capsicum spray at diners.
The woman ran away but was later arrested by police in Northbridge.
One woman was taken to hospital for assessment but was discharged.
WA Liberal MP Dean Nalder was among the diners and tweeted about the incident.
"Strange event, someone ran through and sprayed chilli or something similar on to the backs of diners," he tweeted.
"Everyone coughing and sneezing. Police and ambulance turned up, everyone appeared OK."
