A 15-year-old boy was the key drug supplier in a group of 10 alleged dealers arrested in WA's Wheatbelt region.

Police say it's disturbing that such a young teenager was the primary source of supplying methamphetamine and other illlegal drugs for the group in Northam, northeast of Perth.

Police targeted Northam in an operation in October and this month to bust the main drug dealers in the town.

A second 15-year-old boy was charged along with three women and five men facing nearly 50 charges.

Detective Senior Sergeant Mitch Howard said police were working to protect vulnerable people from the scourge of methamphetamine.

"We will not stand for the community to be rocked by your drug dealing and misery which in turn fuels burglaries, theft and damage as drug users turn to crime in their desire to fund their next hit," he said.
