Arsonists set fire to Perth store knickers

A lingerie department at a Perth shopping centre got red hot when offenders set the pants on fire, causing $50,000 damage.

Staff evacuated the store at Ocean Keys Shopping Centre in Clarkson on Monday afternoon and put out the fire, which started in the lingerie department then spread to other clothing.

A police spokesman said no CCTV footage appeared to be available.

While a group of young girls were seen in the lingerie department before the blaze, it was not clear if they were the offenders, he said.
