Arson attack forces Perth radio station off the air

An arson attack has forced Perth radio station 6PR off the air for more than 11 minutes.
Police are investigating two fires which were deliberately lit using an accelerant at the front and back entrances of the offices of 6PR and online newspaper WAtoday forcing the evacuation of all staff at around 10am.
Program hosts Bob Maumill and Jo McManus were discussing Islam when they told listeners at about 10.15am on Sunday that they had to evacuate and the station then went silent for more than 11 minutes.
When the station resumed broadcasting, it was announced that fires had been lit at two entrance/exits to the building.
"I've got to say we got a shock when we went into that stairwell and it smelled of smoke," McManus said.
The smoke set off alarms, firefighters quickly arrived and put out the fire and no one was hurt.
No one was injured.
