Alleged child kidnapper and abuser named

Vincenzo Mule is the 52-year-old man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting two children in North Perth.

Mule, who was previously known as "Mr X" because his name was suppressed, is alleged to have abducted a four-year-old girl and five-year-old boy from a school holiday care program last month, before abusing them and leaving them at Hyde Park.

Mule appeared in Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on Wednesday where the suppression order was altered so he could be named, but his image remains suppressed.

He is due back in court on June 29.
