Accused wife killer seeks WA judge trial

The lawyer for a man accused of fatally stabbing his wife in their Perth home is seeking a judge alone trial.
Messaoud Chiha has pleaded not guilty to the murder of his 45-year-old spouse in their Canning Vale home in May last year.
The Supreme Court of Western Australia heard on Thursday a man who witnessed the incident and was a child at the time may give pre-recorded evidence at the trial.

Chiha will next appear in court on December 11.
The trial is set down to start on March 17 next year.
