An 86-year-old Perth man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in a domestic incident.
Police allege the man stabbed the 83-year-old victim in Mundaring on Wednesday morning, inflicting serious injuries.
The woman was taken to Royal Perth Hospital where she remains in a serious but stable condition, while the accused is in a separate hospital and faces a bedside hearing later on Thursday.
