WA trial set over wife's stabbing death

A man faces a 10-day trial over the stabbing death of his wife in Perth's southern suburbs.

Messaoud Chiha, 51, appeared in the Supreme Court of Western Australia via video link from Hakea Prison on Monday, accused of killing his 45-year-old partner in their Canning Vale home in May last year.

Chiha has pleaded not guilty and will next appear in court on September 18.

The trial is set down to start on March 17 next year.
