An elderly widow has been left in the dark, trapped in her own home by her insurance company after gusty winds in Wednesday night's storms tore down a huge tree on her yard - damaging a neighbour's roof.
The two Lockridge properties have remained without power for days now - with the homeowners left wondering why it isn't being treated as a high priority.

They say Western Power is willing and ready to switch it back on but with the grid shared between the two houses, it's impossible with this huge obstacle in the way.
As it is, her car remains trapped inside the garage by uncleared debris.
The Naughton's have been sharing their generator with their neighbour and helping her with grocery runs.
