Luxury cars seized after drivers allegedly do double the speed limit mid-morning in Perth
Three people have been charged after luxury cars were allegedly drag-raced through a Perth suburb at more than double the speed limit in the middle of the morning.
Members of the public alerted police to a red Ferrari Spider and blue Porsche 911 seen driving recklessly in Trigg yesterday about 9.30am.
Police Airwing was deployed and the vehicles were located travelling southbound on West Coast Drive a short time later.

It will be alleged the vehicles drove recklessly throughout the area and raced each other from Karrinyup Road and West Coast Highway to traffic lights at the intersection of The Boulevard in City Beach.
Police said the Ferrari allegedly recorded speeds of up to 133km/h in a 70km/h zone and 167km/h in an 80km/h zone.
The Porsche is alleged to have reached 133km/h speeds in a 70km/h and 169km/h in an 80km/h zone.

Upon reaching the traffic lights, the two cars were allegedly joined by a black Yamaha motorcycle.
It will be further alleged, that when the lights turned green, all three vehicles drove recklessly – racing each other – until they came to a halt outside a restaurant on Challenger Parade in City Beach.
In a 70km/h zone, the Ferrari reached an alleged speed of 128km/h, the Porsche reached an alleged speed of 116km/h and the motorcycle reached an alleged speed of 119km/h.
All three vehicles were impounded by police.
A 34-year-old man from Bullsbrook has been charged with one count of reckless driving.
