Three people have been injured after a gang stormed a family home near Mandurah and attacked the occupants with golf clubs.

The group barged through the front door of the Barragup home around 10.15pm yesterday.

A man, one of his sons and the younger man's partner were set upon with golf clubs.

They tried to fight the attackers off but were hit repeatedly to the head and face.

All three were rushed to Royal Perth Hospital, where they are recovering.

The father and son are in a stable condition in hospital, with the woman released this morning.

A teenage boy who was also home was unharmed.

He called police during the attack, causing the gang to flee the semi-rural property.

The violent rampage lasted only a few minutes and police said the men didn't make any demands.

One of the injured men recognised a member of the gang and police believe the attack was targeted.
