WA man charged over allegedly breaking partner’s jaw

A man has been charged over an alleged domestic violence attack which left his partner with a broken jaw.

Police believe the man assaulted the woman, breaking her jaw and leaving her hospitalised.

The man, aged in his 30s, was charged with acts or omissions causing bodily harm, aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm and aggravated common assault.

He is due to appear before the Karratha Magistrates’ Court today.

Western Australian police said “any violence, particularly violence in the home, is unacceptable”.

“Police urge people to seek assistance before matters escalate by contacting domestic violence help lines, domestic violence support services or local police.”
