Gladys Berejiklian survives no-confidence motions in NSW Parliament
NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has survived a motion of no confidence in the NSW upper house by a single vote.
Votes were tied 20 for and 20 against, with Legislative Council President and Liberal Party member John Ajaka breaking the deadlock to defeat the motion.
The premier then survived the same motion in the lower house, winning easily 47 votes to 38.

The vote of no confidence in the premier was tabled in NSW Parliament by the opposition, and the motion was moved by Ms McKay.
It comes after her appearance before an ICAC inquiry into the former NSW Liberal MP Daryl Maguire.
On Monday the hearing heard the pair were in a "close personal relationship" for five years from 2015.
Mr Maguire is facing the ICAC inquiry today over allegations he used his position as an MP for financial gain.
The premier this afternoon rode out a brief but rowdy Question Time today, hours before a crucial no-confidence motion in parliament.

Opposition Leader Jodi McKay took the opportunity to ramp up the pressure on the premier, following dramatic revelations Ms Berejiklian had been in a secret relationship with disgraced former Wagga MP Daryl Maguire.
Mr McGuire has today, among other things, admitted at a corruption hearing he received payments from a cash-for-visa scheme at his Parliament House office.
"Given you've been in parliament for 17 years and worked with hundreds of MPs, are you aware of any other members of parliament who are taking commissions from property developments?" Ms McKay asked.

Ms Berejiklian responded by reminding Labor of its own party members who had been implicated in corruption scandals.
"The leader of the opposition sat in the cabinet with (former NSW Labor ministers) Eddie Obeid and Ian Macdonald. Did she know that they were doing corrupt activities?"
Ms McKay replied: "Unlike you, I reported it to ICAC".
