Virgin Australia systems resume following earlier error

Virgin Australia’s systems have resumed following an error earlier today.
It’s believed a travel system called Sabre, which is used by multiple airlines including Virgin, had experienced an issue.

There were reports the issue had affected either baggage or booking systems, much to the frustration of travellers.
“All Virgin Australia systems are operating as usual after experiencing a temporary issue earlier this afternoon,” a Virgin Australia spokesperson said.
“We are working to have guests on their way as quickly as possible and we apologise for any inconvenience.”
Passengers were quick to take to social media to express their anger about the error.
