Viral impressionist video a total hoax

It attracted a million views a day for a week, but a viral video showing a singer performing a song as dozens of different celebrities is a complete fake.

Rob Cantor was filmed singing an original song called 'Perfect', changing his voice each line into that of a different famous person.

Impressed by his transition from Billie Holliday to Frank Sinatra, Cantor became a worldwide viral hit.

But a week later, Cantor has revealed it was all just a viral hoax.

"I cannot do a single celebrity impression," he confessed.

"This is the work of talented professionals."

A new video reveals that Cantor was simply lip-syncing to other a dozen other impressionists, male and female.

The video reveals how audio tweaking made Cantor's miming more realistic.

After recording the impressionists' vocals, it took 39 takes to nail Cantor's lip-syncing performance.
