Viral image proves even wallabies need hugs

A photo posted to Twitter showing an purportedly orphaned wallaby cuddling a teddy bear, has sent social media into meltdown.
“My mum (a wildlife-carer) sent me this,” the caption reads.
“Showing the value of a good hug, especially for an orphaned wallaby.”
The image, first shared by Twitter user @Tim_Beshara yesterday, has already been retweeted more than 400 times, warming the hearts of countless social media users.
One however has reminded the public of the wallaby’s relation to Australia’s iconic boxing kangaroo.
“You never know with wallabies, that could be a prelude to a wrestle & a bit of kick boxing [sic],” @diva_ex_machina tweeted.
