Shocking brawl outside nightclub caught on camera

A wild brawl in a Western Australian nightspot has been caught on camera as businesses in the area call for action.

The violence unfolded in Mandurah's Smart Street Mall just after 2am today.

Footage shows the fight is already out of control when security step in, with punches thrown and bodies kicked and tackled in every direction.

The combatants are cheered on from the balcony of Norma Jeans nightclub.

An art gallery and framing store nearby had its window smashed during the brawl.

No arrests have yet been made.

It was the fourth incident in Smart Street Mall in two weeks, following a man being stabbed and a grandfather bashed.

Local business owner Alan Van Zanpen said it had grown worse over a period of time.

"I think there should be a certain amount of police here as the club empties out for the half-hour," he said.

Premier Mark McGowan said he would not suggest Mandurah had a worse problem than "anywhere else".

"Periodically, these things happen around the place," he said.

The City of Mandurah also released a statement saying it was working with businesses, police and the community to ensure everybody could enjoy the city.
