Victorians Adam Dovile and Lisa Lamond have won the public vote and the House Rules' grand prize of their mortgage wiped clean.

Dovile and Lamond scored 17 points to rivals Carole and Russell Bramston's 19 but the public vote pushed them over the line by an undisclosed margin.

They've won their $546,000 mortgage paid off in one hit.

"This has just been unbelievable," an elated Dovile said.

"She (Lamond) came from not knowing anything (about renovation) to being absolutely stunning and amazing and I love her so much."

Lamond said their win means they can marry and start a family with less stress.

Grand finalists in the popular Seven Network series had to complete a bar and spa area in their rivals' homes.

Dovile and Lamond created a Balinese resort-style bar and spa area for team WA and won praise for their use of jarrah wood and outdoor shower.

"It does really feel like six-star Bali luxury," judge and Home Beautiful magazine editor Wendy Moore said.

But the judges found fault with team Victoria's bi-fold bar doors and stacked stone wall.

Dovile and Lamond hit a snag in their renovation when they realised they had gone over budget and had to negotiate with tradespeople on their rates.

Carole and Russell Bramston wowed the judges with gold bullion wallpaper to nail the James Bond style house rule.

The pair gave the audience an unexpected shake and a stir of their own when they stripped down to try out the spa for themselves while out shopping.
