Victorian police hunt for 'stupid Cupid' who fired arrows 'indiscriminately into the air'

Police in the small Victorian city of Castlemaine are on the hunt for a “stupid Cupid” believed to have fired arrows into the air over the past week.
Officers were first called to a Dick Street property on Wednesday, after residents found several hunting and target arrows, with one having pierced their corrugated iron roof.
Police believe the person responsible had fired the arrows “indiscriminately into the air” some time between 6pm and 8pm
On Saturday, officers were called to other properties on McGrath and Taylor Streets where more arrows had been found.
The arrows had been fired in a 600m radius and investigators believed they were shot overnight.
Castlemaine Sergeant Peter Lukaitis has expressed concerns the person responsible for firing the arrows may ultimately hit and fatally wound an unsuspecting bystander.
