Victorian man dies after 4WD smashes into tree

A man has died after his 4WD car crashed into a tree and rolled in regional Victoria.

The driver, believed to be in his 30s, appears to have lost control of his car and crashed in Fern Hill late last night, police say.

He died at the scene and is the 215th person to die on Victorian roads this year.
