Victorian man charged with planning terror moved to psychiatric hospital

A Victorian man charged with terrorism-related offences has been moved out of prison to a secure psychiatric facility, a court has been told.
Phillip Michael Galea, 31, fronted the Melbourne Magistrates' Court via videolink this morning charged with collecting or making documents to prepare for terrorist acts between mid-November 2015 and early August 2016.
Galea has also been charged with doing acts in preparation for a terrorist act between mid-September 2015 and early August.
His lawyer, Allan McMonnies, requested an adjournment to December after telling the court Galea had been moved to Thomas Embling Hospital, a high-security mental health facility, last week.
Galea has links with the anti-Islamic Reclaim Australia "movement", as well as one of its offshoots, the True Blue Crew.
Those groups have staged various demonstrations and counter-demonstrations in recent months, several of which have been marred by violence.
