Witness appeal after toddler drowns in Melbourne park pond
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a toddler drowned in a park pond in Melbourne's west earlier this year.
The three-year-old girl was found unresponsive in a pond at Footscray Park, south of the main adventure playground, before 3pm on June 30.
She was taken to hospital but died days later on July 5.

Detectives are not treating the death as suspicious, but would like to speak to a woman who may have seen the child leaving the playground area between 2.30pm and 2.45pm.
The child was Middle Eastern in appearance with dark hair, and was wearing a khaki-coloured jacket.
Any witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
