Search underway for hikers lost in Victoria forest

Two hikers are missing after failing to return from a forest north-west of Melbourne.
The hikers are believed to have become lost in Lerderderg State Forest in Bacchus Marsh about 6.40pm yesterday.
Victoria Police and SES were forced to suspend their search about 2.30am due to dangerous terrain. The search will resume today.

Phone contact has since been made with the hikers to notify them of the current rescue plan.
