Young workers for major Vic projects

Apprentices will have to carry out at least 10 per cent of work on all major Victorian government projects.
As part of the Major Projects Skills Guarantee, government projects costing more than $20 million will be required to give jobs to young people and workers to re-skill.
Employment Minister Jacinta Allan says construction companies that bid for projects under $20 million will also be encouraged to hire more local apprentices, trainees and engineering cadets.
