WWI descendants to boycott Melb parade
AAP
Descendants of World War I diggers will boycott this year's Melbourne Anzac parade because they have been relegated to the back of the march.
The group plan on staging their own event through the shrine precinct because their positioning in the official parade was disrespectful, they told Seven News.
Returned and Services League's march marshall David Blackwell told Seven the march was for people who had served in uniform, which is why descendants were placed in the back.
