Woman on murder charge over Vic assault

A woman already charged over a violent weekend altercation in Melbourne has now been charged with murder following the death of her alleged victim.

A 64-year-old man injured at a Seaford home on Saturday died in hospital on Monday, police say.

A woman, 59, was charged with intentionally causing serious injury and police added an additional murder charge on Wednesday.

She will appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on November 9.
