Woman, 75, rescued after Vic mountain fall

A 75-year-old woman is being treated for rib and ankle injuries after emergency crews rescued her from between boulders on Victoria's Mount Buffalo.

Authorities were called when the woman fell while walking The Hump about 1pm on Monday.

Victoria Police, SES, CFA, Ambulance Victoria and Parks Victoria worked together to rescue the woman.

Suffering from rib and ankle injuries, the woman was winched from the mountain and flown to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition, Ambulance Victoria said in a statement.

She arrived by air ambulance at Royal Melbourne Hospital about 6.30pm.
